The beautiful wooden base for this long Fireside stool started life as the base of a very big dressing table mirror , sadly no longer fit for purpose various portions of the mirror have been upcycled . 
The fabric is a piece of original textile artwork made using applique and freemotion machine embroidery. 
This type of stool  would traditionally sit infront of a fireplace with several chairs surroundingit  so the whole family can get their feet on it and get a warm by the fire . 
Its equally useful in front of a sofa tho too. 
It measures 85cm long and 30cm wide x 18cm high .
