This is a 60cm x 30cm x 30cm footstool. The textile artwork is of a peacock butterfly on an emerald green velvet background. Created using applique and free motion machine embroidery on a backing of heavy weight fire retardent calico.
 
The fabric is extremely hard wearing and it can be safely used as a footstool without risk of damage to the artwork ( just take your shoes off first ! ) 
 
This is a one off piece and the design will not ever be repeated exactly as seen here.
